Age: You must be at least 18 years old.
Training: Volunteers must complete CRA’s required training (as mentioned above).
Commitment: You need to commit to a set number of volunteer hours.
Confidentiality: Volunteers must adhere to strict confidentiality policies.
Tax Knowledge: No formal tax experience is required, but a basic understanding of tax concepts, math, and digital tools is helpful.
Communication Skills: You should be able to interact with clients in a clear, friendly, and patient manner.

For the past decade, MHHS has been honored to host free tax clinics as part of the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP). Our committed volunteers assist individuals with modest incomes and straightforward tax situations in completing their tax returns.
